Early in January this year, while we were visiting Australia, we managed to sneak away for a day date into the city and spent an afternoon at the Melbourne Botanic Gardens! What a dream! This is the peak of Summer in Australia, and everything was blooming in full-color and looked so beautiful no matter which way you looked!

MELBOURNE BOTANIC GARDENS

What a place it was to be surrounded by so much beauty. I was certainly in my element, and I reminisced on what life used to be like without children. Although I missed them dearly, it was really lovely to spend a day with my undivided attention focused on my amazing husband. We loved waltzing the manicured gardens, watching the birds flit around, and stopping to smell all the roses (quite literally).

Plus, I had a nice excuse to wear my Daisy dress from the Gal Meets Glam Collection. It was lightweight and perfect for the heated day. Plus it’s called the Daisy dress, so I cannot think of a more perfect setting to take some photos, than in amongst the flowers (we even spotted a little patch of daisies too)!
