Recently, we visited Kimmel Apple Orchard & Vineyard to take our maternity photos amongst the beautiful white apple blossoms as they bloomed. It surely did not disappoint! We walked among tree-lined grassy pathways with budding little flowers all around us. There really isn’t another word for that experience except “magical”.

APPLE ORCHARD AT KIMMEL VINEYARD
We had visited Kimmel Apple Orchard before around Easter time for Everley’s first Egg Hunt! She had a wonderful time and Kimmel Orchard and Vineyard actually run a huge amount of events year-round. So we are excited to head back there and take part in some apple picking in the Fall. The grounds are so nicely kept and looked after, and there really is a lot to do and see there as well as a fantastic playground area for kids, so super family friendly which is a bonus!

Everley has been so persistent and excited about “baby sister” and loves to rub my belly and feel the baby kick as of late. Which really is such a nice little way for them to bond even now, before LaLa is born. The attachment she has to her already has blown my mind, I love watching her big sister instincts and guardianship blossom in front of my eyes. It’s really the most precious thing!

We visited Kimmel Apple Orchard around the middle of April for the Easter Egg Hunt, but then returned the following weekend for our photoshoot. And the timing was perfect at the end of April. Obviously, seasonally things are a little different every year, but if you plan to visit Kimmel Apple Orchard, the end of April to start of May seems to be prime blossom time. These lovelies don’t last forever, we get a few short weeks with them full and beautiful, so best to keep your eyes peeled and plan your trip around blooming time. You can also always call the lovely staff there who are more than happy to help you with any questions you might have. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about Kimmel Vineyards. It’s a rare gem in Nebraska City!

Little can you tell from these photos, that on this day Everley decided to have a bit of a breakdown. With beautiful flowers, come bees and ants. We explained to Everley that bees are what make the flowers bloom and without bees, we wouldn’t have all the beautiful bursting petals around us… but it is hard not to react when you hear a bumble bee buzzing near your head. So, Little Miss lost it about halfway through this photoshoot and would not allow us to put her down after seeing an ant. But Rohan managed to continue capturing the beauty of the bump and with strategic no-face Evie shots, we managed to keep shooting even with a screaming toddler. Can you tell?

Brooke-Lyn is wearing a gorgeous peachy pink lace maxi dress from Forever 21, with her pink suede jute heeled mules from Just Fab and her pretty pearl hoops from SheIn (under $5!).
Everley wears a pretty coral pink button front dress from GAP, which matched mama’s dress perfectly. She paired this with her cute little pink suede ballet flats from Old Navy and her Ivory bow from Etsy seller Lemon Berry Designs.
