Ice Cream Party for Everley’s 3rd Birthday

Kids’ parties are my new passion in life! How cute is this Daydreams & Ice Cream Party we did for Everley’s 3rd Birthday? Complete with an inflatable ice-cream truck ball pit, a photo booth with props, balloon garlands, and my favorite part was the DIY ice cream stand we made for her!

ICE CREAM PARTY FOR EVERLEY’S 3RD BIRTHDAY

As you can see, we had a blast! Even though we were quarantined and in self-isolation, I was fortunate enough to have been planning this party for a few months before and already had all the needed supplies to make it happen at home. We had recently come back from a trip to Australia, so some of the toys were actually brought over from there (mainly Kmart).

Everley just loved playing pretend all day, being cheesy with the props in the photo booth, eating ice-cream and even Ayla had so much fun playing around in the ball pit truck and trying to keep up with Everley.

We try to make birthday’s pretty special around here. Everley asked for curly hair, so we did that for her so she felt like a princess. She put on her pretty green tulle glitter dress and matched her sister. She started the morning off with pancakes for breakfast and an arrow hunt to find all her presents hidden around the house by following the arrows on the floor.

We had grand plans of making a tiered ice cream cake and even tried but failed! I scrambled for another idea last minute, so ended up getting two Walmart $5 sprinkle vanilla cakes and stacking them on top of each other, then adding some extra candies to it to make it a taller sprinkle cake with a happy birthday banner, which still kind of fit in with our theme. Although normally I would put a bit more effort into the cake situation, it was fine and more for a photo prop seen as we had plenty of other sweets.

I know a lot of you will ask where the DIY is for the ice-cream stall. I will be sure to put together a post dedicated to it, and update the link back here soon! Until then, here’s a quick run-down of what we did and what we used. We followed suit from A Darling Daydreams blog tutorial for her little girl’s Lemonade Stand, with a few adaptations of our own.

Here are some of the items we used to create the stand… plus a few extra things from Home Depot (which I’ll link later in the full DIY tutorial).
