A little while ago, we went to a Selfie Saturday fundraiser at Pepper Harrow flower field in Iowa. We’d never been or even heard of this place since moving to Nebraska, but as soon as we discovered this beautiful location, knew we had to make the trip out to visit. It was an extremely hot day (you can even see how red the girls were from sweating after only a few minutes running through the fields).

FLOWER FIELD IN IOWA
We arrived ready to explore the beautiful gardens and grounds, seeing some gorgeous sunflowers as well as rows and rows of lovely lavender. The bees were even so docile, that our presence in and around them didn’t seem to bother them at all. We learned that worker bees generally don’t sting unless antagonized, so there you have it! We learned something new this day.
The purple hue had me dizzy with happiness as we snapped some family pictures around the farm. Many of you would know that there’s not much else on this earth than can bring me as much happiness as being surrounded by flowers. I even used this chance to wear my beautiful Clementine dress from the LoveShackFancy x Target collaboration. There was no better place to twirl around in her than in this gorgeous lavender flower field.
